Estate Sale – One owner – family member. Low hours on the powertrain and the Volvo Penta outdrive. The boat sat for many years shortly after I replaced the motor in 1993 following a freeze with only 43 original hours of use on the hour meter. The long block motor I installed was a different block and heads, built by a known area engine rebuilder, and forged pistons were installed, the original engine only had cast pistons. The camshaft is still a stock grind camshaft as requested by the owner at the time. By my best guestimate the engine had maybe another 10 hours of use since I installed it and I put on approximately 5-6 of those hours after the motor was installed. I cannot confirm the true current hours because the instrument lenses on the dash are pretty faded and water spotted. I will attempt again with a different cleaner to capture the true hours on the hour meter but they shouldn’t be much over 50 hours total, at most, on the entire boat. I found no gelcoat deterioration or exposed fibers during my inspection. No hull chips were identified or stood out to me. The boat only had direct sunlight during early morning to mid-day where it was parked. Overall evaluation: All normally polishable surfaces of the boat need a thorough cleaning and a good wax job. There is a lot of silicone applied to various surfaces (seams, windows, outdrive mounting, bolts, etc.) of the boat that served no useful purpose but it can be easily removed. The owner was in the habit of hose washing dust off of the boat as it sat unused so you would simply be removing the thin layer of water spotting. Not counting the cleaning and waxing or the upholstery, an experienced mechanic could in a day or two have the fuel tank flushed, the fuel lines cleaned out, rubber fuel hoses replaced, fuel pump replaced, carb rebuilt (if needed), engine oil changed, water impeller replaced (I have a new impeller in the OEM packaging) and it should start up. There are a lot more pictures and some additional details available in videos on google photos but you will need to send me your email address for that website link. Ebay will not allow me to provide a link on this listing to give you access to the additional information, mainly it was the videos that wouldn’t upload to the Ebay listing. The videos will show the water spotting but note that I lightly rubbed on a spot of the burgundy color and the water spotting film did rub off with minimal effort without polish or cleaner. I removed the upper seat and disposed of it (not useable). There is also a video of the below deck area and the engine compartment in the google photos link. The drivers deck area back to back seat, dash pocket and side pads, a pair of rear seat pads, and a padded seat cover next to the driver will need to be recovered, nothing major. Some of the foam pads and cushions from inside the cabin that were exposed to water from a leak caused by water hose washdowns were tossed but the primary cushions to sit on are still there in useable condition. There was no mold found inside the cabin floor, walls or ceiling. The engine bay looks complete and untouched other than the batteries were removed at some point to prevent corrosion or leakage. The engine bay looks pretty much as I left it in 93 when I finished installing the motor. The engine bay hatch cover and lid channel water drains did a great job of keeping contaminates and moisture out of the engine bay. This boat has been on Lake Tahoe, Lake Oroville, Folsom Lake, the Sacramento River, and was successfully taken down the Sacramento River from Sacramento all the way to the San Francisco Bay and back again the following day. There will be some spare parts to go with the boat in a box which includes a marine radio and a new spare propeller. The trailer does go with the boat, the tires are in great shape, and the tires are less than 3 years old. The original white spoke wheels that recently came off the trailer are available and can go with the boat and trailer if the buyer wants them. The registration on the boat and trailer have been kept current since the original purchase and there are no back fees. California DMV Certificate of Ownership documents are in hand. One final operational note; with this motor/outdrive/prop combination this boat was capable of reaching 48-49 mph at top rpm/speed in 1993. With a little more prop it could go a little faster, it still had more torque and horsepower available if a person wanted to.
