Sparkman and Stephens designed Sailboat Columbia 29 1966 Grab it before July 3rd and enjoy the awesome fireworks party at Alamitos at the slip which will be covered. With the Yanmar diesel, the wonderful bronze and the electronics, I’m confident I could part it out for roughly the same price I’m offering it at but I don’t want to do that. This boat is a sailor that has been sailed regularly and as is could easily do so for the next 29 years. .thru-hulls and rigging are relatively new and done professionally., Ive glassed in the bulkheads, replaced the windows (with bronze portlights), replaced the beam, rebedded a toerail, replaced the running lights with LEDs and much of the wiring.Sails are high quality and crispy..including a racing genoa. On deck, there is a heavy-duty bow roller installed with a CQR ready to deploy at a whim. Ive added two cabin top winches (all lines can lead to cockpit) and 2 more cockpit winches for racing, in matching bronze. Spinnaker pole (no spin though) included.Inside Ive built a custom mahogany kitchen with a modern design and added a new couch/bunk. With 6 plus feet of headroom and 4 places to sleep, the boat feels big for an older design. There is an electric head installed and pressurized fresh water running to the kitchen and to to the cockpit for showers. Great Bluetooth stereo with 2 speakers inside and two in the cockpit. For your electronics, there are two large and fairly new batteries installed on an automatic charger, a radar, GPS Chartplotter and VHF radio. For the engine, I just dropped a like-new freshwater Yanmar SB8 in the clean engine room but this is NOT installed. That was going to be the final big job that made this boat everything I ever wanted it to be. Now it can be yours to enjoy (Im bummed I will miss out on having that). Until the diesel is installed there is a bracket ready to take a long shaft outboard to get you going. FYI…The bottom paint is in poor condition…the first thing you are going to want to do is haul it and paint the bottom…whether or not you also do the motor setup at that time would be optional, but that was my plan. AND, like any old boat, there are plenty of cosmetics to do and lots of wood to take care of.
