1985 Super Tramp folding trimaran for sale. Drive to where you want, rig/launch quickly, sail fast and flat. Boat is small and simple enough to do all this solo, or cockpit will seat up to 4 adults. Easy to trailer, even with a smaller vehicle. This is the US version of the Australian Haines Hunter Tramp; Ian Farriers original folding boat design concept that led to his popular Corsair line of trimarans. A unique, rare boat…..especially in the PNW and especially as it all works and is all there, and has no signs of any serious damage/repair work/modifications. This is NOT a homebuilt, plywood-cored boat like some earlier Farrier trailertri models, but factory made using molds and Corecell as the main hull core. Boat is in overall good condition for its age. Decks are older and weathered, but structurally all is fine. No delamination or hull damage. There are some cracks in the gel coat near stress points, but they have been there since I have owned the boat and are not getting any longer. Folding mechanisms work as designed. Sails (3) are in overall good condition (spinnaker is like new). Foils (centerboard and rudder) are good and work as designed. No bottom paint. These boats tended to suffer from water leaking in through the centerboard case as well as the ama hull-to-deck joint. I have fixed both of these issues with epoxy/glass. No more leaks there. Boat sails level and capable of higher speeds. I have posted a video to YouTube of sailing recently the San Juan Islands. Search YouTube for SuperTramp Trimaran Pacific Northwest, or copy and paste this link to find it: https://youtu.be/flekdNYJWVw Mast raises easily using the jib halyard run through a roller fitting and then back to the winch on the trailer. Boat was used mainly to cruise/camp/explore the San Juan Islands, Desolation Sound, San Francisco Delta and Columbia River basins behind dams. We spent up to a week on each trip, sleeping either on the tramps or on the cockpit seats. We are moving back to the east coast and are not interested in taking it with us. Comes with trailer (tires decent, spare tire OK, bearings just re-greased and newer Bearing Buddies installed, lights work, current tabs), Honda 4-stroke 5hp outboard (older but runs good, always flushed after salt-water trips and always stored with Ethanol-free gas when put away for off season, has charging circuit for battery), 3 sails (including spinnaker we never used), cockpit bimini, full cockpit enclosure, anchor/line, new 12 volt control panel, newer 12 volt battery, cockpit cushions, fuel tank, fire extinguisher, and copy of original owners manual. Porta-potti shown in picture not included. I have 2 clear, clean titles (boat and trailer) in my name, no liens, ready to sign over to the new owner. No stories or delays. Boat located in my driveway, under a tree, dirty from the leaves and weather, but could be sailed tomorrow. Happy to show it to interested parties in the Seattle area. Shipping is fully the responsibility of the buyer, and boat must be moved within 30 days of purchase. If you have any questions ask away. I respond to all within 6 hours.
